The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has adopted our thermal test manikins to achieve scientific and standardized testing of garment performance.
The thermal manikins can simulate human body temperature and sweating, equipped with high-precision sensors to collect real-time data on surface temperature, heat flux, and humidity. This allows researchers to precisely analyze the thermal performance of clothing under various environmental conditions. From everyday wear to functional sports apparel and specialized protective garments, the manikins provide quantifiable and repeatable experimental data, offering scientific support for research and new product development.
By using thermal manikins, the PolyU research team can:
Quantify garment insulation: Accurately monitor heat loss and evaluate clothing warmth in different environments.
Optimize textile materials and garment design: Use experimental data to guide adjustments in fabric structure, thickness, and production processes, supporting new product development.
Standardize experimental procedures: Reduce human errors, ensure repeatable and comparable results, and improve research efficiency.
Support multiple application scenarios: Enable scientific testing for everyday clothing, functional protective wear, and garments for extreme environments.
Through this collaboration, PolyU has successfully applied thermal manikins in research experiments, teaching, and new material evaluation, significantly enhancing the scientific accuracy and reliability of experimental data.
