The Chemically Resistant Automated Mannequin and Head Form (CBplus Man System) is a computer-controlled test system designed for the evaluation of chemical and biological (CB) protective suits, headgear, and integrated protective ensembles.

The system consists of a full-size anthropometrically correct mannequin and an interchangeable upper body head-form. Both are manufactured from lightweight carbon composite materials and designed for operation in chemically harsh environments.

Mounted on an external drive frame, the system can execute complex, repeatable movement protocols over extended test durations, enabling realistic assessment of protective garment integrity and performance.

Application

(1) Chemical & Biological Protective Suits: Fully encapsulated CB suits, gas-tight protective clothing, hazmat ensembles.

(2) Protective Headgear & Hoods: CB protective hoods, respirator-integrated helmets, full-face protective systems.

(3) Military Protective Equipment: NBC protective uniforms, soldier system garments, integrated mask-and-suit assemblies.

(4) First Responder PPE: Emergency responder chemical suits, decontamination garments, protective head and neck systems.

(5) Industrial Chemical Protection: Chemical-resistant coveralls, splash-protection suits, reusable industrial PPE.

(6) Laboratory & Certification Testing: CB garment validation in environmental chambers and temporary analysis tents.

(7) R&D and Failure Analysis: Evaluation of seam leakage, interface integrity (head–neck, wrist, waist), and material degradation.
