The Manikin Coughing System (Cough Simulator) is a high-precision experimental device designed to operate with a thermal manikin or a manikin head, or as an independent unit. It is used to simulate realistic human coughing conditions. By adjusting cough airflow rate, initial jet velocity, pressure, and duration, you can study aerosol particle dispersion and transmission under indoor or confined-space airflow conditions. The system provides reliable experimental data for indoor air quality studies, pollutant exposure assessment, and airborne infectious disease research.
Application
HVAC research and education, including indoor air quality evaluation, breathing and coughing exposure risk assessment in confined spaces, and cross-infection risk analysis of airborne diseases;
Medical and public health research, including simulation of pathogen-laden cough particle dispersion and airborne disease studies;
Occupational hygiene assessment, such as exposure risk evaluation of dust, PM2.5, and gaseous pollutants in workshops and factories;
Human exposure risk assessment in aerospace cabins and confined environments, including civil and military aircraft, helicopters, space stations, re-entry capsules, submarines, and deep-sea systems;
Exposure assessment and air-conditioning system optimization in vehicles and transportation systems, including buses, passenger cars, new energy vehicles, high-speed trains, subways, ships, and submarines;
Public health and military medical research in high-occupancy or densely populated environments.
